Charleston Editorial Bridal Shoot- On The Farm

A couple quick pix from a recent photo shoot that was for a local bridal store. Though our style is referred to many times as magazine style by our clients we refer to ourselves as editorial style wedding and portrait photographers. It is essentially the same thing and we love to bring that sensibility to just about anybody we photograph. We know it may seem like we photograph a lot of models but we actually do not. There are occasions like from fashion week and when we do shoots like this one that actually did involve a working model, but we actually prefer to photograph more everyday people that are not models per say and make them/you look like you could be in a magazine. It’s personally much more rewarding for us and taking a photograph just to make a pretty picture is not that interesting to us nor is it usually all that interesting to look at. Val, the model pictured, has a wonderful elegance to her that we knew we wanted to capture as well as a sense of angelic almost statuesque quality. The focus for the shoot was about the dress and we wanted the images, the dress, to have life but have the viewer feel like they could imagine themselves in the dress rather than just seeing the model in the dress.
